As a musician we’ve all have daydreams of some of the places we wanted to play. One of my top 5 were completed last night at Casa Loma in Toronto. http://www.casaloma.org/
A very prestigious dinner party of 10 was the perfect group to hear me perform on the three different instruments I love most. The electric harp and violin as well as one of the castles elegant pianos.
I’d love to continue to boast about those sitting around the table in the oak room but alas, discretion the better part of valor and that sort of stuff you know. (Said in my most proper English accent of course)
There has always been something about Casa Loma that has intrigued me. Brought back to a different time when technology was not as advanced and instruments like these still resonated as the principal source of musical entertainment.
The history of the building along with its sheer style and beauty has had me enamored for a long time. Last night was the realization of many a daydream and I’m grateful to those who selected me to perform.
For those other four places in my top five I always wanted to play in the world? I’ve covered 3 of them. The other two I’ll tell you about in another post.
