Harpist Snow Globe. Toronto harpist Elena loves to dress up and really enjoys creating the showstoppers.
That would be a headline that would certainly put a smile on my face because it’s oh so true. As an entertainer I still get to wear colorful gowns, play unique instruments, and as a bit of a hammer and nails girl, get to build things that hopefully make you go “wow!” One project a few years ago resulted in the mechanism that has led us to this delightful video. (Engineering it here)
I’ve kept the sound pretty much as is. The speakers were further away than the people in the crowd so the harp is not as loud as it should be for these shots. I did however want to keep it as authentic as possible as most videos posted on the Elena Musician You Tube channel. Thanks to Ryan and his crew the sound, lighting, effects and overall ambiance for this evening was impeccable, as you will see.
Rima and her committee from Nestle Purina had some specific ideas for their annual get together and to start things off it was decided that the theme would be entitled “Glitter & Snow” so…they chose the perfect compliment by having me place my “snow globe” in the middle of the ballroom dance floor. Guests would enter from the cocktail area greeted by soothing sounds from the harpist performing inside the air-filled bubble. Cirque du Soleil style stilt walkers roamed the room and the cameras and cell phones were very busy recording it all. The team had a nice vision and the professionalism of all who took part made the proceedings look elegant, smooth, and perhaps most important…Fun!
The globe works well for many occasions including corporate events like these, private parties, and weddings. I play both the electric violin and electric harp inside it and I keep the price for it so that it doesn’t break the bank. As always my offers can include cocktails, dinner, ceremonies, or special shows along with the DJ featuring an LED electric violin and LED suit!
All in all my rolling up the sleeves in the laboratory (the garage) means I have a few things that will honestly create the “wow factor” so many talk about. Think mmm…I know! Futuristic yet classy. Cirque duSoleil meets the Big Bang Theory!
Okay maybe not quite but I think you get he idea. For more information on how things can work for you give me call! 647 832 1515. Thanks for watching!
