Toronto Pianist Elena plays wonderful romantic piano? Now she has 2 of her very own!
When beginning to learn how to play the violin at age 5 there was a nice surprise from the teacher as we toured the school. We were offered (told) that we would also study another instrument. The big imposing but somewhat attractive item in the main music room was of course the piano. Having no idea that one day I’d be tinkling the keys as a piano player in Toronto I began to really enjoy it. Now I own not one, but two of the most advanced mini electric grand pianos in the country. In an amazing red colour and a glossy white one. (Imagine the Valentines Day, Christmas, and Canada Day possibilties eh?) Two pianists or I can setup each one in different parts of the venue. Lightweight, easy to setup. If they’re on a big stage and need to be taken away quick they can be moved within minutes. Why pay big dollars for an actual baby grand that requires trucks and many men when you can have these beautiful works of art. And…These can be rented out! So if you have your own pianist(s) maybe a student, or someone you know that wants to play for your wedding or event you now can! We offer the pianos, medium sized sound system, small lighting and get this…Everything is wireless! That’s right. No cables, no cords, no grief. These can be setup almost anywhere. find out more at 647 928 1514 and now please take a little look at the video below. Piano in the park.
The educators also insisted that it would help in our hand eye co-ordination as well as right hand, left hand dexterity. The only thing I cared about at the time is if I could play the song Benny and the Jets by EltonJohn John. I did learn that and a whole lot more as the musical theory I was learning on the violin helped on the keyboard and vice versa. Later when I started teaching the ability to play and know multiple instruments again came in very handy.
As it turns out from the very start I loved playing all things romantic. To this day the romantic piano still plays an important role in the niche solo act that I’ve been perfecting over the years. It’s been a great compliment to the harp and violin and numerous times has provided the perfect look, sound, and appeal to an event. Let me give you an example.
A well-known international banking institution was having a dinner party at Casa Loma. When the guests arrived for cocktails they were greeted by the pleasant tones of the white concert grand harp. During the actual dinner there was a picturesque piano in the Oak Room so soft elegantly tunes were tinkled. (Oh corny creative writing *little laughs*) For the coffee and cognacs after dinner entertainment out came the electric Swarovski violin. Playing along with backing tracks songs from Sinatra to modern day hits from Bruno Mars and Katy Perry kept everyone in a festive mode.
This is just one of several ways the piano can be a part of an event. As long as there is one at the venue a set can be played and enjoyed by guests. Some of the best news of all…it can all be part of 3-instrument deal and be included in the perfect pricing. In many cases the extra set on the romantic piano is absolutely free!
As always a phone call starts it all off. A one on one chat gives you the opportunity to not only tell me your thoughts and explain your concepts but to feel me out. I’m proud of the fact that so many of my clients whether they are from the business world or the wedding world, turn out to be friends.
